PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primarily responsible for the monitoring of and adherence to the district’s procurement policy, and fixed asset management.
  • Review all requests for purchase orders for accuracy and ensure compliance with the purchasing guidelines.
  • Ensure purchases comply with applicable purchasing thresholds.
  • Check applicable purchase requisitions for quotes.
  • Responsible for developing specifications for quotes, bids, and proposals.
  • Responsible for the district’s purchasing card programs and reconciling the accounts.
  • Responsible for the district’s E-procurement program.
  • Assist in developing procurement reports and meeting district deadlines for reporting.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to schools and district office departments relating to purchasing regularly.
  • Provide training to school and district office staff regarding purchasing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and reporting requirements related to procurement and fixed assets.
  • Maintain internal controls for procurement and fixed assets.
  • Perform internal audits for each school and district office department at the end of the fiscal year.
  • Maintain the fixed asset database.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of fixed assets and inventory.
  • Perform internal inventory audits.
  • Maintain and complete reconciliation reports and files for external audits of procurement and fixed assets.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned and/or required.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
  • Prior experience in governmental accounting, procurement, and fixed assets or any equivalent combination of training and experience that would provide acceptable knowledge, skills, and abilities, as evidenced by performance responsibilities.
  • Must have excellent written, oral, and computer skills.
